Public Safety
Our communities have suffered the impacts of prosecutorial reform that fails to hold criminals accountable. It’s time for a change because Minnesotan’s deserve safe communities. I am committed to supporting law enforcement and closing the revolving door for repeat criminals.
I will...
- Advocate for law enforcement safety and work toward providing them with the resources they need to keep our communities safe.
- Hold criminals accountable for their actions by pushing back against extreme prosecutorial reform experiments.
Education
Minnesota was known as a state that provides a fine education to students in grades K - 12. Now, according to the 2023 Student Achievement Report Card, 49.5 % of students are below standard in Reading, 60.8 % are below standard in Science and 54.5% are below standard in Math. Government funding isn’t resulting in better education because it is not going to the classroom. Enough is enough. I am committed to ensuring that teachers and students- not bureaucrats- receive the resources they need to succeed.
I will...
- Prioritize improving K-12 literacy rates
- Advocate for curriculum transparency because parents have a right to know what their child is being taught.
- Ensure that funding is going to the classroom- not bureaucrats.
Responsible Spending
Heading into the 2023 State legislative session, Minnesota had a nearly $20 billion budget surplus. Not only did the DFL-controlled government spend the entire amount, they also chose to raise taxes by an additional $10 billion. Despite the impressive surplus we had, we are now facing a budget deficit in the coming years because of outrageous spending. Enough is enough. I am committed to thoughtful and responsible spending that focuses on bettering Minnesota.
I will...
- Collaborate with legislators to spend thoughtfully and responsibly.
- Audit programs to measure effectiveness and outcomes of funding.
- Be transparent with Minnesotan’s about where their taxes are going.
