Biography 

Kim was born and raised in Minnesota and has lived in Edina with his wife, Carolyn, since 1999.

His entrepreneurial career began with selling real estate then, retail at Dayton’s Southdale selling women’s shoes. He met his wife Carolyn there. Then he built an insurance agency and ran it for 30 years. He held licenses in real estate and insurance. Based on his expertise, he served in several positions on the Minnesota Chapter Board and several positions on the National Board of the United Farmers Agent’s Association (UFAA.)

His enjoyment of music began with the accordion at age 4, then drums in 6th grade through high school and guitar. He enjoys all music including flamenco guitar, which integrates guitar and percussion.

He plays golf and follows major league sports. He and his wife have visited 24 United States capitals, learning history from around the country and visiting friends.
